What Rhetoric Has Taught Me

My overall opinion of the class that it was a great learning experience. At first i was freaked out when i heard that that we were going to use the Internet. I was so technology challenged that I thought that i was so majorly going to screw up. Also never before in my life did i hear the word rhetoric.

Seriously, I thought who uses these words, sounds like something out of a math book. However the being in this class taught me all abouts it's meaning and it's significance. Face it in our own ways each one of us are rhetors and we use athos, pathos, and logos every day. We may not be writing a paper, but think about the process we use to get people to believe in what we say or do.

Being in this class has made me more conscious about what i read and hear on the television, newspaper, even contracts. In thisclass as well has made me think ctitically and to stop being illiterate and more literate. But most of all I enjoyed the people around me in the class and the intsructor, it is a class that I will not forget.

How this relates to rehtoric and the video, this visdeo that all of u are watching is to show that without speaking these pictures talk for themslves on how the can serve to gat us to start thinking. Like the anorexic and the bulimic, it shows when dieting is taking to the extreme. But then we have our positive photo that show how these advertisements can get us to change or joing gyms, weght loss programs, you name it. Just the other day I was talking to this woman, when I was doing my survey. she told in her youth she was anorexic ,her idead was that she wanted to be thin. like a model. she siad she weighed under 100 pounds. She was able to gwt help and come out of it. It's just more proof when weight loss is taken to the extreme. Overall this is a good learning experience to know how people bu media.
